match vs stoke

once again united battered opposition stoke in what was an extremely one sided affair... the teams had barely left the tunnel (berbatov was probably still in it) when ronaldo struck a thunder bolt free kick which found the net, ronaldo beginning to find the killer form that had deserted him earlier in the season...

the opposition never really got going and wave after wave of united attacks came flooding in, it was really only a matter of time before they began to take advantage of their chances. a wonderful carrick goal on the stroke of half time all but ended the match as a contest and when berbatov fired home in the second half it became a showcase for uniteds academy.

the introduction of the always lively danny wellbeck put an end to the claim that united has abandoned its academy in recent times. wellbeck showed all the signs of a good striker, and was fearless, even on his debut as he ran onto the ball on the edge of the box before finishing with a magnificent strike!!...

manucho, the angolan striker also looked impressive. however the headlines went to ronaldo again, who finished as he started with another superb free kick before full time. for the 1st time this year i can say that utd capitilised on most of their chances in a game they dominated... hopefully a sign of things to come!!

owen hargreaves... the new louis saha????

after it was confirmed that hargreaves would spend the remainder of the season i found myself asking- did utd pay £30 million for a player to keep the physios table warm in louis sahas absence??...

it seems all too familiar, injury after injury, muscles that snap like elastic bands, bones that break like a ford cortina and knees that would make forrest gump proud!!

why must we always have one player that likes needles and first aid kits more than footballs and nets???

im curious!!

latest injury worries

today brought another fresh injury scare ahead of saturdays clash with stoke!... reports say that rooney could be doubtful for the game due to a chest infection! am i the only one thats thinkin- WAT THE FUCK!!!...

if rooney is out we are left with tevez and berbatov, two completely contrasting players. tevez, a dogged player who will run until he falls down from exhaustion, the resident mule even!!. and then theres berbatov whos only recorded "distance run" every game comes in the trek from the tunnel to the centre circle for kick off!!

basically im in the mindset that even if rooney got maimed during a brawl in a liverpool nightclub he would still be a more useful player than berbatov come saturday!...

chest infection?!?!?! how does shrek get a chest infection?!... and if rooney does happen to be out who will fill the void of brainless player??? (due to his sometimes senseless fouls) another blog for another day!!! ha

QPR game

heya, just thought i should mention the QPR game from last night!!... now can someone please tell me, is it just me or have utd really been struggling in games they dominate recently??... i mean look at the stats  from the QPR game!! the london side had 2 shots at goal! neither on target! and what happens? once again utd struggle in front of goal and only a carlos tevez penalty saved them further blushes on the night!!.

now i know that cup ties often present shocks but in a game that was so one sided how did they not win convincingly???...it has happened on a few occasions this season, the newcastle game a prime example!...

i would love to hear your views on this!

carlos tevez!!

today it was suggested that carlos tevez may leave mancherster united in the summer, when he's current loan deal expires. apparently tevez has been speaking to argentina boss- maradonna, about the subject and he has reportedly said that he is concerned by lack of first team opportunities.

personally i think that tevez is one of uniteds greatest players. his work rate is second to none and if he were to go in the summer it would be a massive mistake on uniteds part. i wont even go into comparing him with utds latest recruit- dimitar berbatov because that is another can of worms.

please leave opinions of your own on this topic and any other topics you want me to give my opinions on!!
